Bryan Steil is a leader in the fight against coronavirus

“When our frontline workers needed personal protective equipment, I got to work with the White House, Jockey, and Charter NEX. My previous background in manufacturing and current role in Congress helped Southeast Wisconsin deliver for our nation’s workers and quickly become a leader in PPE production. Not only did this help keep people safe, it helped save jobs.”

Bryan has worked throughout the pandemic to ensure workers, families, and health care professionals have needed relief. At the beginning of the crisis, Bryan worked with the White House Coronavirus Task Force, Jockey in Kenosha, and Charter NEX in Milton to create thousands of PPE gowns for frontline workers.

BRYAN’S LEADERSHIP:

  • Supported legislation to create the Paycheck Protection Program, allowing thousands of Wisconsin workers to receive a paycheck during the pandemic.
  • Supported legislation to provide American families with an economic impact payment to help cope with the financial impacts of coronavirus.
  • Helped a young woman from Janesville return home after being stuck in Peru due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
  • Held a telephone town hall with Wisconsin’s Health and Human Services Secretary on the health impacts of COVID-19
  • Held a telephone town hall with federal and state representatives to provide information and resources on how to avoid coronavirus scams
  • Introduced legislation to provide additional federal funds for states to ensure mental health resources, programs, and treatments are available to those who need it in this time of stress and crisis.
